CNC Machine Operator

Location: Factory / Manufacturing Unit

Experience: 1–3 years of experience in CNC machine operation

Industry: Signage Manufacturing, Fabrication and Engineering

Objective

Responsible for operating CNC machines and producing components accurately according to approved drawings, programs, dimensions, and production requirements while maintaining quality, productivity, and machine safety.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in CNC machine operation.
• Knowledge of CNC machine operation and basic programming.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Measuring Tape, Micrometer, etc.
• Basic knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
• Knowledge of machine safety procedures.
• Ability to work according to production targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. CNC Machine Operation

• Operate CNC machines according to production requirements.
• Load and unload workpieces safely.
• Set tools, fixtures, and machine parameters as required.
• Run approved CNC programs.
• Monitor machine operation and cutting performance.

2. Drawing & Program Verification

• Verify component dimensions against approved drawings.
• Check CNC programs before starting production.
• Report drawing, program, or dimensional discrepancies.
• Ensure correct material and component specifications are used.

3. Quality Inspection

• Inspect components during and after machining.
• Check dimensions using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Identify defects, dimensional variations, and surface issues.
• Ensure production output meets required specifications.

4. Production & Productivity

• Achieve assigned production targets.
• Minimize machine idle time and material wastage.
• Maintain proper production sequence.
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor for priority jobs.

5. Machine Maintenance & Safety

• Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic checks.
• Report machine breakdowns immediately.
• Maintain tools and fixtures properly.
• Follow machine safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
